The debt-ridden bon vivant Marlow is mistakenly transferred a million marks. The money was actually intended for a killer. He wants to get it back by force. Marlow and his daughter find themselves in mortal danger.

Through an inheritance, a group of friends find out that their grandfathers had found crates of gold in the wreckage of a crashed plane in the final days of the Second World War. A short time later, the men were killed and the gold was never found. Now the gawky grandsons are trying to recover the treasure. In the process, they come up against crooks, speculators and old and neo-Nazis.

IN SEARCH OF STOLEN TIME narrates how the present-day labour systems and the contemporality of time have forged themselves in mutual interference since the Middle Ages. This documentary film also makes an attempt to sketch out the future development driven by cutting-edge technologies and definitions of productivity and optimisation.
